Hi, I know my Dad Raymond J. Rose, was in the 12th Armored Division, that he was Sgt. in a tank, and in WW2, He died when I was young in the early 70's and I am now trying to find out what I can about him. I know very little. I checked your members list hes not there, but I do have a 12 armored book you guys gave out some time in the late sixties early seventies and I remember his army jacket with the 12th armored div patches on it. Any other info. anyone may possibly remember I would greatly appreaciate. He was from New York. Thanks again.

Dear Robert, I have checked the "17,000 Members" list and there is another Raymond (F) Rose of the 66th Armored Infantry Battalion. You might contact unit representatives from the tank battalions. They could put a notice in the Hellcat News.
23d Tank Battalion: Jim Feezel 256-355-6421.
43d Tank Battalion: Mark Ault 765-459-5245
44th Tank Batt. John Hencke 281 426 4482
The 44th fought in the Phillipines
714th Tank Batt. Alice Tanklesley
Hope this helps. Mike Woldenberg

I am a Legacy Member of the 12th AD Association. I will try to help you. There are two WW2 Army enlistees from NY with the name Raymond J. Rose. One was born in 1920 the other 1915. The Soc. Security Death Index shows a R.R. from NY who died May of 1973. Where was Raymond living (city / state) when he died? Do you have a DD214 form? If not I can direct you where to you may find one.
What is the name of the book you referred to?
