I'm the son of Joseph Fleming, 119th AEB, Co. A. Would like to know where he would have been in May of 1944. Training or on leave?

left Camp Shanks 12 Sept. 1944 for Europe.
So he would have been in training May 1944 at
Camp Campbell, KY/TN

there are many Joseph Fleming. would help -
a middle initial?
place of enlistment?
burial?
roster has him listed in HQ Company
records don't usually list on leave unless for a special reason.

Mr. Fleming - to determine if you father was on leave in May of 1944 you could go to the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis. Unit morning reports for all military units are on file there. Please contact me at - rwscherer@verizon.net - if you would like more information.
