Hi Camaro 76,
I am a Legacy Member of the 12th Armored Davison Association and will attempt to help you with your inquiry.
My uncle was assigned to C-66 AIB in 1944, he was killed in France 16 Jan 1945, and is buried there. A living member of C - 66 wrote a book about Company C - 66 several years ago. The book contains a list of all members of C Company 66 AIB. Ed's name is not in the book so I am confident he was in another Company The 66 AIB was made up multiple companies. The total head count was about 1,200 men. Many of those survived the war, but because of age, many have passed away.
You have some info about Ed North but more would be helpful to narrow the search for a living veteran who remembers Ed. Do you have a picture, a DD214 form, the Company he was assigned to etc? As much info as you can provide will help. Best I can tell he survived the war.
