posted 1/25/2016 7:48:17 PM I will work on this. But I have a question: Was Eugene related to Julio Grillo of the 56th Armored Infantry Battalion?

posted 1/25/2016 11:06:25 PM Hello again, I have checked the Hellcat News and Eugene Grillo's name is mentioned in several issues as one of the men killed in action. No other information is given. I suggest you contact the unit representative to the Hellcat News: Julie McCarty,
jmccarty@gvtc.com
Ask her to place a query for anyone who might remember Eugene Grillo. Also, check the Oral History videos in the left column on this page. I can send you a 200 page report on the 714th Tank Battalion (poorly typed).
Yours truly,
Mike Woldenberg (my email is above.

posted 3/8/2016 11:05:16 AM According to some family letters we recently found, it appears that Eugene was killed by a German sniper on April 15, 1945.
