I was looking to find more information about the service of my Great-Uncle Johnny Bobcik who served in B Company, the 43rd Tank Battalion. So far I have read the company history and I have seen those issues of Hellcat News that he is mentioned in.

You might enjoy listening to Oral History
Videos. (See left column). Click on Oral
History Video. Then click on Battalion.
Then on about page 6 you will find 13 or 14
videos from the 43rd. Three from Co. B.
Apparently you have read the History of the 43rd from BOOKS AND WRITTEN EXPERIENCES.

Also consult the books on the 66th Armored Infantry Battalion and the 493rd Field Artillery. These plus the 43rd formed
Combat Command A and fought together as a team.

Mike,

Thank-you so much for your quick reply, and I appreciate the info on Combat A. I wasn't even sure if I'd get a reply, so thanks for answering messages on the Message Board, and for being helpful to everyone. Great web site.

Happy Holidays.
