posted 9/17/2015 1:59:00 PM Just attempting to try and find out any information regarding my grandfather Ernest L. Strong from Isabel, Kansas. He was a Staff Sergeant and tank commander of the tank "Twinkle Toes." He was injured and taken prisoner along the Austrian border on May 3rd, 1945 in an attack on his tank where John Dowling was unfortunately KIA.
Harry you had mentioned you had read somewhere that he was wounded, captured and released a few days later. I went to the Eisenhower and went through the after action reports but was unable to locate any information regarding him.
