posted 6/19/2015 2:56:44 PM found Blanzar Link mentioned in El Paso Herald Post on 24 February 1944. Committee to choose the Men of Mines has been selected at College of Mines. Blanzar Link is part of the Army Committee So he must have been in the ASTP at College of Mines in El Paso.

posted 6/20/2015 7:24:14 AM Harry, you are right. I found Blanzar Link on this website. Go to BOOKS AND WRITTEN EXPERIENCES. Go to DIVISION. Find ASTP in the 12th Armored Division. The first 9 pages gives the names of the men and their colleges. Blanzar did attend the Texas College of Mines and Metallurgy (University of Texas at El Paso). He apparently did not participate in the 1996 (?) survey of the men who had been in the ASTP. Thus there is no description of his experience.
I can not find (yet) the obituary that refers to Blanzar.
