I was doing some research on the life of my grandfather, Loren Cluff, who recently passed and wanted to provide the link to his story:

Thank you for the information. Loren Alva
Cluff was in the 82nd Medical Battalion,
Company C. It would be interesting to find out more. Perhaps he was assigned to be
a medic for an armored infantry battalion,
or a tank battalion, etc.

Was he ever a member of the 12th Armored Association?

Please forgive me for not offering my condolences before the rest of my message.
Loren Cluff was a member of the 82nd
Medical Battalion, men who took care of their
comrades on the field of battle and many took
great risks.

Company clerk Loren Cluff jumped at the chance to drive the jeep, but his superior , Lieutenant George Reilly, objected because Cluff had to file a report.
