Hello, I will ask Ed Pierce, the Unit
Representative to the Hellcat News to
place a notice in that newsletter.

This will take several weeks. In the
meantime, I will continue my search in my
records when I return home on Feb; 12.

Yours truly, Mike W.

Hello again. I have found a record that says that
Joe Opecz was from Cleveland, Ohio.

I have looked through several other lists of names and so
far have not found him. Although the 17000 Man Roster
on this web page says he was in HQ Company, that may be in error. Many names were listed with this Company when the actual company was unknown.

Do you know anything more about him? You can respond to my personal email if you prefer.

My uncle was Joseph Opecz.
After the war he worked at the Dobeckman company in Cleveland
