My dad was Silas E. Williams and he served in the 494th - C Company, but never shared much about his time in the service. I see books on the 493rd and 495th, but I'm not seeing any books that cover the roll of the 494th. If anyone can point me in the right direction,it would be greatly appreciated.

to start you could look at 2713 Division photos
and view some of the Oral Histories of the 494TH. I will try to find more about 'C" Company

Hi Kevin, You are right. There is no single
history of the 494th. However, Ted Glogovac
does have some memoirs and "After Action Reports."

I will contact him as well. But you should
also email him.

Thank you for the replies. I've looked at the pictures before but may go through them again. I was not aware of after action reports, so that does sound interesting. Thank you again!
