posted 7/29/2014 3:19:07 PM Hello everyone, I am looking for anyone that might recall Ashley Thompson of A Company 17th AIB. He was KIA in Herrlissheim January 1945.

posted 7/30/2014 5:39:31 PM read your post in TAPS. The 12th wasn't in the Battle of the Bulge. Herrlisheim was a big battle. You can read stories in Books and Written Experiences and also view the 17th in the 2713 Division Photos. I have read the history but no mention of him by name as yet. William Funke is Unit Rep and you might email him. fwilliam46@msn.com

posted 8/5/2014 6:18:58 AM Ashley Thompson, Paul Strate and Alfred Rosenthal were all in A-17th Armored Infantry Battalion. Bill Funke can put a notice in the Hellcat News. (Probably the October issue). I checked for Strate and Rosenthal and they are not on the current list of recipients for the Hellcat News.
