posted 2/15/2005 1:09:54 PM I am a Legacy Member of the 12th Armored Davison, I will attempt to help you. I sense your frustration in your message. The fastest and best way for me to help you is for you to email me your Name, phone number and the best time to call you. This on my "dime" which I am willing to spend if you are willing to spend time on the phone with me.
There are two strikes against those wishing to find out about WW2 veterans. One, the records of all WW2 army vets was destroyed in a fire at the National Archives in 1973. Two, many veterans of WW2 have made "Final Roll Call" they have died. The list of obstacles continues but there are sources which may answer your questions. These sources, such as government agencies, surviving veterans, tax records etc are time consuming to research and may not yield results.
Those of us who reply to questions on these websites are dedicated volunteers. Our only interest is to help you, preserve the Legacy of this Division as a tribute to the men and their families who bravely fought to keep our freedom.
Regards,
Ken Klinedinst / kbk@conknet.com

posted 2/24/2005 8:42:59 AM Readers of this message board and the members 12th ADA Mr. Foster has contacted me as I asked him to do. We have been working together to answer his questions about his father.
If anyone else would like to contact me directly for help researching questions they have about their loved one’s service with the 12th Armored Division, I will make the same offer to you. Email directly (kbk@conknet.com) with your home or work number, and the best time to call you, this is on my “dime”

posted 1/20/2008 3:16:46 PM Ken, I've noticed your name on a few replies and feel that you are a good source and a good man to want to help people. I was recently searching for anyone with my last name and came up with my great uncle Ervin Kasniak. Uncle Erv is still alive here in Buffalo, NY and maybe of some help. If you care to contact him, let me know.
Sue Kasniak
