My question is: Where can I find information about the PUC. Wasn't it awarded to the 44th? My father served with the 44th during the Pacific campaign and was severely wounded in the Phillipines. Thanks

Hello, You may know this already, but here
goes. Look to the left and click on
Books and Written Experiences. Near the top
click on History of the 12th Armored Division
by Ken Bradstreet. Go to pages 33-40. On one of these pages you will read about Presidential Unit Citations. Note: WD
stands for War Department (of the USA). GO
stands for General Orders.

Yours truly, Mike Woldenberg
