Hi, Daniel Scott was in Service Company
of the 493rd according to the Roster
on the left side of this website:

17,000 Men.

in book that Mike mentioned it reads - on 4th of April, Ambler was sent out with Brunette, Davis, O'Brian, Crouch, Piper, Romamanazzi, Scott, and Sowers to report to the 42nd Infantry and haul personnel to the front.
2) on page 163 there is a picture of Fletcher, Connell and SCOTT! they WERE IN FRONT OF A TRUCK WITH "Brooklyn" MARKED ON THE HOOD.
Hope THIS HELPS SOME. Will look some more

book is really special. Many pictures.
(PICTORIAL HISTORY OF THE 493RD...
The author went on to become a famous
writer of biology texts (ecology???)

Mr.Woldenberg. Thank u so much for taking the time in responding to my post. I must see if i can either look that book up online or obtain a copy over the years ive lost all the pics of my father when he was in the war, i hope this turns out to be something . To the Guest poster, who went ino short detail about my father and what page i could find a pic of him with some of his buddies. Thank you very much for your info, it was most certainly him. It brought tears to my eyes to see him young and healthy like that, i think id like to remember him like that. Thank u again. Sincerely, jim scott.
