posted 2/24/2014 8:56:45 PM My father, Harry Solomon, was a sergeant in Troop B.
He passed away 1 November 2012. He was 96. Since he was one of the older soldiers, there are probably some surviving soldiers from the Squadron who knew him.
He was always ready to share his military history, specially the attack in Grand Roselle in which the highly respected Captain Cecil Cleary was killed close to him, and he was knocked unconscious. After coming to, Dad completed the mission. Captain Cleary got the Silver Star and my father got the Bronze Star.
In the Squadron Roster, he had updated addresses for:
J E Ellerbee Jr (Orangeburg, NY)
H Kalish (Tucson, AZ)
E Miller (Mt Vernon, NY)
H Taubin (Rockville, MD)
T J Boney (New York, NY)
E A Lukens (Arlington, VA)
F C Wolfe (Levittown, PA)
C H Steinegweg (Norwalk, CT)
N G Wangen (Holland, MI)
L C Britton (Fall River, MA)
I would appreciate hearing from any officers or enlisted men who knew him.

posted 2/25/2014 1:51:31 PM Hi Martin, There is a Roselle River, but I can not find a Grand Roselle. (or Grande Roselle). Can you check if you have the right name? Is it a region or a town?
I will look to see whether the other names are of living veterans.
To be continued.

posted 2/25/2014 9:03:13 PM Martin, The key is to find the Petite Roselle map on Google. This is right on the border of France and Germany. Just across the border in Germany is a place called GrossRoseln. In French, the name would be Grand Rosselle.
I have not had time to work on the names.
