On this veterans day memories of my dad had me thinking about his time spent serving our country. His name was John Brunetta and was with the 23rd tank battalion D company. Sadly to say he passed at a very young age of 50 in 1964. If anyone remembers him or info on others he served with I would appreciate it. I would love to share info with my children and his grandchildren. Thanks, Carole Brunetta Wright. cawright356@gmail.com

Hello, As a first step, please contact
the Unit Representative to the Hellcat News.
Geof Lackey can put you in touch with remaining veterans from Co. D.
His email is: lackeys@charter.net

Secondly, look to the left column. Click on
BOOKS AND WRITTEN EXPERIENCES. Scroll down
to A HISTORY OF THE 23RD BATTALION.
Also there are many books on the list relating to the history. Take a look at the first 4 or 5 books as a start.

Look on the left for ORAL HISTORY VIDEOS.
Click on Battalions. This sorts the videos.
There are several from the 23rd, including one by Paul Lozden from D company.

This will get you started.
