posted 9/11/2013 8:50:05 AM  Hi, Cleveland Chavis was in the Service Company of the 23rd Tank Battalion. As a first step, look to the left and click on Books and Written Experiences.
Scroll down to
A HISTORY OF THE 23RD BATTALION.
Then go the left column: ORAL HISTORIES
Click on the word BATTALION..
This sorts the battalions together and it will make your search simpler. Then find the videos for the 23rd Tank Battalion veterans.

posted 9/18/2013 4:17:51 PM  so far found he was a private, buried in Fairmont, NC and listed as an American Indian enlisted at Fort Bragg, in 1942. sTILL LOOKING FOR MORE OF HIS WAR EXPERIENCES.
