Hello! I'm seeking reading suggestions for any info on the 92nd Cavalry Recon. I am a relative of KIA Chester Lubas and want to be able to flesh out a family history I am compiling. Basic info/history on the squadron is appreciated, or just books to look up. Thanks!

Hello, Chester Lubas was a member of Troop A of the
92nd Recon. There is a book about this Battalion.
Go to BOOKS AND WRITTEN EXPERIENCES on the left.
Scroll down to
SQUADRON HISTORY OF THE 92ND RECON SQUADRON (MECHANIZED).
Then go to the chapter on Troop A. Use a map as you
read. Also, the other chapters should be of interest. I was
not able to find Chester Lubas' name. But I was scanning and
not reading word for word. Try contacting the Unit
Rep to the Hellcat News, Connie Olson
rcolson5@windstream.net
She can put you in contact with some vets who may have
known Chester Lubas.

Check the Oral Histories on the left side. C lick on Battalion and this will sort the Battalions.

My Dad served with Chester Lubas in A Troop and had told me in the past that he was there when he was killed in action. If you'd like to email me I would be glad to give you the details. allan_humbert@steris.com
