Morise Hill was in the 66th Arm Inf Bat, I know he was not in Company C, could have been in HQ, A or B.

The 12th was deactivated in Sept 1945, prior to deactivation he would have been in France or Germany. The 12th did not have a unit designated 83rd. Is possible he was assigned to the 83rd in preparation for the occupation of Germany.

Ken Klinedinst / Legacy C-66 AIB

Thank you Ken
Is there anyway we can find more information about Morsie Hill please? His daughter in England is searching for him...is he alive or dead? Where did he live in the US, we think we have traced him to the LA, California area?

More data on Morise Hill. May have a daughter or granddaughter in HI. Name Yolanda Morise Hill. Lives on Air Force bases in HI

Morise would be 96 if alive. Looks like he was in the 12th until the war ended. Then re-enlisted in Feb 1946, after the 12th was deactivated.
Any pix of Morsie in uniform?

The 12th 66th AIB was in Tidworth England Nov 1944, before shipping out to France

Wife could be Esther Deloris Hill

Hello,

I entered his name in Google and found a
website that lists the names of people
who enlisted in the Army from California.
I found
that he did live in California when he
reenlisted in the Army in 1946. His earlier
enlistment in WW2 is not recorded on this
list. Did he live somewhere else when he
enlisted in WW2?

Very recently, the US Census Bureau released
the records for 1940. This would have his
address at the time. It might be available
from the Census Bureau's website, or else
Ancestry.com

Yours truly, Mike Woldenberg

Thanks Mike
We have no idea where he lived when he enlisted initially - he appears to have been born in Oklahona.
