I am a Grandson of one of the men in this tank division that has past. I am looking for someone thats still alive from the 12th that I would be able to meet. If you know of anyone please let me know it would be greatly appreciated, because I was to young to hear the stories from my grandfather and would wish to hear them from a member in the unit.

Yes there are men still alive, and there
will be a reunion in Abilene Texas beginning
Wednesday, August 1 through Saturday night
and leaving Sunday. You should arrive no
later than Thursday to have a full day on
Friday and Saturday. I can send you full

What battalion was your grandfather with and
what was his name?

John C Greenfield was in Troop B of the 92nd Recon.
I believe there are men you can contact. I am in Switzerland until Wednesday, May 2nd. I can search
my correspondence when I return. It may be that
Max Eaglefeld was in Troop B. In the meantime,
look to the left side, and click on BOOKS AND WRITTEN EXPERIENCES. Then scroll down to
SQUADRON HISTORY OF THE 92ND RECON. You
might enjoy that.

Hello again, I discovered a Hellcat News in
my email. The retiring unit representative is
Bob Payne (a veteran). 410 549 2748
The brand new unit rep is Connie Olson

660 355 4444. She is the daughter of a veteran. rcolson@nemr.net

Bob will know who is living from your grandfathers Troop B.

I discovered that Max Eaglefeld was in the
82nd Med Battalion, and not in the 96th recon.
