My father, Sgt. Paul T. Monfils, was a member of the 12th Armored Division, 43rd Tank Battalion. Anybody out there a member of that battalion, and if so, any memories of him? Thanks.

Sgt Paul Monfils was with the Headquarters Company of the
43d Tank Battalion. To start, look to your left and click
on the BOOKS AND WRITTEN EXPERIENCES. Scroll down
to the UNIT HISTORY OF THE 43 TANK BATTALION.
Your father may be mentioned in the chapter on
Headquarters Co. or elsewhere. Also, see Oral History
Videos for men from the 43d. I will send you the contact
information of the Unit Representative to the Hellcat News.

My grandfather was in that very same battalion, his name was Albert G. Rossen. I do not know anything about your father nor did i hear about him, but i thought that it was interesting that you were asking about the 43rd battalion and anyone in it. He might have known your father.

My Grandfather also was in the 43rd company C and I want to know more also He was John J Lamberti from Staten Island NY. he passed in 1982 from complications from the war. but I was to young to ask him about the war and feel a very open hole in our family. He was was the Grand son of a Famous general during the Civil war 3star Judson Kilpatrick who was with Sherman, and then to find out he was in the Sherman Tank during the war was Ironic. If anyone has info please pass it along thank you
