posted 10/12/2011 4:54:57 PM I am currently looking for information about my grandfather Edward Eugene Cartwright. I know that he was in the 12th Division, 23rd Battalion, Company B.
I would like to know where he fought? If anyone may have known him?
I have a flag that he brought back with him and I would like to know where it could have came from and the history of it, but most of all I would really like to know more about my grandpa and what he had done.
Thank you in advance, April D. Cartwright

posted 10/13/2011 7:40:27 PM Dear April, I heard from Ken that your flag has a Swastika and an Eagle. I looked up on BING:
Swastika and Eagle Flag
This provided some information. You might search the several websites to see if you get a specific military unit, or most probably, this was a Nazi Party flag (that is a pure guess).
Also, for information about Eugene Cartwright, you might contact the Unit Representative to the Hellcat News:

Yours truly, Mike
