I am looking for any veterans of the 66th Armored Infantry Battalion who may have known my uncle, Richard "Dick" Tarte. I believe he was a SSgt. Thanks.

Hello Mark, Do you know the company your Uncle belonged to? I am pretty sure that he did not belong to Company C.
If we can find the company we are more likely to find men
who knew him. Unfortunately, the big roster that I have
does not list his company. This information may be on his discharge papers or other documents.

The unit representative to the Hellcat News is George O'Bryan. His email address is:
geoo@htc.net

I just saw this 5 years later. Sorry, I do not know what company my uncle was assigned to.
