My father-in-law, Jack Buckingham served with the 23rd Tank Batt. Co D. I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything regarding Jack. He will turn 85 the beginning of December and is doing OK. He has told me of Herrlisheim as well as other battles but cannot remember any names. I know sometimes the men nicknamed their tanks and was wondering if any one knew if his had a name. Jack was a tank driver.

Hello,
Hoping you will find this again. I am a niece of Jack Lindsay Buckingham. I have just learned of his passing and assume thatyou are the husband of either Connie or Jacquline. I can't help with your specific quest, but do have other bits of info re WW2 and the Buckingham brothers. I am Linda, daughter of Harry, have been in touch with Uncle Richard and Uncle Gene, but not lately. Would love to hear from you.
