posted 5/2/2011 8:53:36 PM I was hoping someone knew my great uncle. His name was Willard W Atkinson. He was KIA on April 11, 1945. My grandmother never knew what happened other than he was killed. His body is buried in France. Please, any information would be wonderful.

posted 5/4/2011 10:00:47 AM Your great Uncle was in Company C, 66th Armored Infantry Battalion. There is a book by Weston L. Emery entitled: "C-66". This book contains a few very important pages about your great uncle. I can copy these pages for you, if you email me your address:
geomike@buffalo.edu
Otherwise, you can buy the book from the 12th Armored Museum. contact Mr. Bill Lenches:
wilcomodels@hotmail.com
(I think your family would like to have this book). Yours truly, Mike Woldenberg

posted 5/4/2011 5:51:41 PM Michael, I would greatly appreciate any information you could share with me. It's only my dad and I left. My grandmother (willard's siser) was heart broken that we would never know how he died. My email address is deathwalker713@yahoo.com. Many thanks to you, Amy Nichols
