I've been trying to find out more about my grandpa's history. He didn't speak about it much, and now that he passed away nearly two years ago, I've been searching for more, or any, information. I was curious if anyone who came on here may have known him, or of him. As far as I know he was in C Company 17th Armored Infantry Battalion and that he was an intelligence officer. Please, I would love to hear any, and every, bit of information anyone has to offer. God bless.

Hello Al,
Edward M Campbell is not in the roster
of 17,000 members. There are often errors
of omission in this roster. You should contact Bill Funke who is the unit rep to
the Hellcat News:

fwilliam46@msn.com
970 482 0255

Bill will put a query in the Hellcat News.
Also, on this website, go to BOOKS AND WRITTEN EXPERIENCES. Read MOUNT UP, The History of Company C. This book is about
C - 17. This book also has a roster,
and Edward Campbell is not on this roster.
Nevertheless, his name may be in this
book, so you should read it.

Also, on this website there are Oral History Videos. Listen to the men from
17 C, and also A and B, and HQ in case
you father was in one of these companies.

Good luck. Mike Woldenberg
