Recently my adopted grandpa (my old neighbor)passed away. i always liked to listen to the stories he had to tell. However i would like to know more. if anyone could help i would appreciate it very much.

Hello, Fred Treadway was a member of the Service Battery, 494th Field Artillery Battalion. In the left column you will
see BOOKS AND WRITTEN EXPERIENCES. The
494th does not seem to have a book, but
the 493d and 495th do have books. In addition, there are good general books
near the top. Also, read Death of an American Combat Command (5th down).

Go to Oral History Videos and listen to men
from the 494th.

Sorry, I meant to write
"Fred Treadman". He was in the
494th Field Artillery, Service Co.
