My father-in-law is Robert L. Knowles, and in talking about the 12th Armored Division at Landsberg, he brought up the name of Hans Palmquist. Is he still living, and if so, how could I get in touch with him?

As you know, Robert Knowles and Hans Palmquist were in the 134th Ordnance
Battalion, HQ company. I suggest that you
contact John Critzas, the editor of the
Hellcat News, who probably has a list of all
the living veterans, or at least the ones
who receive the Hellcat News.
His email is:

Also, contact the Unit Representative:
who happens to be the President of the
12th Armored Association: Ken Klinedinst

Yours truly, Mike Woldenberg

I know this reply is many years too late, but, my father was Hans Palmquist. He passed away in November, 2001. He was a wonderful father and I am very fortunate to have been his daughter. I miss him every day. He was married for 50 years to my mom, Delores (Krumtinger) Palmquist. My mom passed away in February, 2010. If anyone would like more information, you can email me at katerry30@hotmail.com
