My grandfather, Melvin Kleb, was in the 66th AIB, Company C. Anyone remember him? He was also an ASTP man.

Your grandfther was in POW camp in Hanover with me, Tom Wood, Charlie Fitts, George O'Bryan.

Read POW accounts at web site to get your grandfather's experiances.

Your grandfather didn't write a article for this publication.

Read book C-66, t read items about your grandfather, pg 61, 95, 100, 294, 367, 410, 418, 489.

I can' find any pictures of him, I'll keep looking, my phone is 513-919-4999

Dear Mike,

I have been in contact with George O’Bryan and appreciate the help from you both.

I have bought the C-66 book by Emery and it has been a huge help. I am also planning on getting in touch with George Messer to see if he has any recollection of Mel.

Thank you SO much for your time and all of the help.

Dear Mr. Hoeweler,

Thank you for the info. I have been in contact with both George O’Bryan and Charlie Fitts who have both been a lot of help. Unfortunately, from what I know of them and what I’ve read about your experience in the POW camp, it seems that you all left for the factory outside Hanover before Mel got to Stalag XIB. I’ve read Emery’s C-66 book and have gotten a lot out of it; thank you for the tip. It seems to be the most helpful resource out there.

My grandfather wasn’t one for talking about his experiences of the war and now that he’s gone, hearing other comrade’s memories is all I have left. Thank you for your phone #. I hope you don’t mind if I take you up on your offer and call you sometime. I would enjoy hearing about your own memories and experiences.

Thank you so much for your help. I truly appreciate what you’re all doing for me.

I don't know if you have seen this page, but there is a short bio including a picture of your Grandfather on our website if you look in "Books and Written Experiences" then "Written Experiences c-66" then "Member H-l" then page through until you get to his page.

Thank you! I the information on this site has been very helpful. It's where I've gotten almost all of the info. Again, thanks for the tip.
