Hello, Please contact Bob Rutledge BOBRUTL@yahoo.com. Bob is the historian of the 44th Tank Battalion.

The 44th was detached from the 12th Armored and sent to the Pacific theater.
The 44th Tank Battalion fought in the Phillipines and freed a major detention
camp (for civilians) in Manilla.
The men of the 44th no longer meet, but perhaps the historian can help you find living members. There are many pictures of men of the 44th on our website: BOOKS AND WRITTEN EXPERIENCES. Also, you will find several historical accounts by using
"44th Tank Battalion" with a Google search.

Yours truly, Mike Woldenberg
