Did anyone know him or can tell me more about his experiences in the war? He passed away last month and we (his family)would like to write down as many memories as possible.

Thanks

Dear Sarah, Emmett Killingsworth was a member of the first platoon, first rifle squad of Company C the 66th Armored Infantry Battalion. The source of this information is the book, C-66, by Weston Lewis Emery. The book can be purchased at the 12th Armored Division Museum in Abilene.
I also note that he was hospitalized for an illness on March 8, 1945.
Please contact George OBryan, the Unit Representative to the Hellcat News. He will put a notice of your request in the News.
