I know the odds are getting slim, but I am trying to locate anyone who might have known my Grandfather, John Bright. He was a member of B Battery 572nd.

I have a photo of him (he is the 2nd on the right) with the crew of a half-track located here:
http://www.mercierarmory.com/grandpa.JPG

Do you know one of the other people in this photo? I would love to know who they are!

If you have any information on him please contact me at mercierarmory@hotmail.com

Thank you!
Mike

Dear Mike, One thing for others who may want to look at the picture. Do not include .jpg at the end. The picture is beautiful. Note that the trees all have well developed leaves; it is no earlier than May, and probably late May or June. The men are in Germany, south of Munich, or perhaps in Austria. The war is probably just over. (The 12 Armored arrived in France in November 1944, and first saw action in December).

I have a Roster dated 2003. Two names are listed under
the 572nd AAA. Albert D'Argenio 610 434 8222
and Louis Pachnick 203 334 8354

I have the addresses as well if you can't reach them.
geomike@buffalo.edu

Also, try the representative to the Division Artillery and Division HQ Units: Bill Hardin, 573 642 3801

You should send the picture to Bill Hardin
bill_hardin223@sbcglobal.net
Ask him to publish it.

Thanks very much.
