Hello, You can begin your research by reading the first several books in the
list of BOOKS AND WRITTEN EXPERIENCES on
the left column. These are general
divisional histories. I do not know of
a good Battalion History for the 119th on
this list. You could look at the entry for
HARVESTER WORLD but this is not your focus.

Please contact the Unit Representatives for
the HELLCAT NEWS. They may know of other
written histories and can put you in touch
with veterans.

Be sure to mention the name of your grandfather.

Yours truly, Mike Woldenberg

I would like to add this suggestion.
go to 2713 DIVISION PHOTOS. There are 20
pages devoted to the 119th AEB. Ignore
the previous idea that you should consult
Harvester World.

My father Vincent J Cahill jr was also a member of the 119th, CO.B. I also have a copy of the chronology that my sister found in my Grandmother's attic and had framed years ago. I alos noticed that the picture of the "Gang" shows my father ( he is the only one with out a helmet or cover and is wearing a leather jacket. If anyone knows the story of that photo please let me know, Thanks. J I Cahill
