I'm looking for any surviving veterans of Company C, or anyone from the 6th infantry that my grandfather S/Sgt. Herbert Miller, Tank Platoon Commander (1944-45)may have served with during the war. If anyone has any information that could aid in my research it would be greatly apprecia

Dear Matt, I have a Roster of the 12th Armored from 2003.
Here are some names from Company C. 44 Tank Battalion.
Shirley Clark 716 488 1248 (Not known if this is a spouse).
Howard Drake 765 457 6958
Amos Friend 301 746 5727
Casimir Galka 518 459 7638
Peer Gilli 860 242 8846
The 44th went to the Pacific Theater and among other things, freed a camp of civilian prisoners in Manilla.
(I temporarily forgot the name of the camp). In past years
they had a column in the Hellcat News. This was sporadic because the rest of the 12th Armored went to Europe. I will look for the
name of the Unit Representative.
Yours truly, Mike Woldenberg, Legacy Member
