Dear Denny,
I am a Legacy member of the 12 Armored Association. I suggest you call or write the Unit Representative:

Bill Funke, (970) 482-0255
email: fwilliam46@msn.com

He can provide a roster of Company A, and/or
he can put an announcement in the Hellcat
News.

Did your Dad know Doctor Cotroneo from
Buffalo? If so, I can put you in touch with him.

Happy New Year!

Mike Woldenberg

Dear Mike,

Thanks for your reply! My Dad died in 1972, and I don't know if he knew Dr. Cotroneo, but I will contact Bill Funke.

Thanks and happy New Year to you also!

Denny

Dear Denny, I am a veteran of A/17. I am sorry I don't remember your father. A/17 had twenty or more halftracks and at least that many drivers. Stanley's name, address, and dod are listed in the company roster in the book, "17th AIB Historical Information" dtd 10/6/05. That book is available from the 12th AD Memorial Museum in Abilene, Texas. Do you have a specific question about A Company or the Battalion?

Dear George,
Thanks for your reply.I guess the best way to explain my search is a desire to know my Dad better. He didn't talk much about the War when he was alive and he died when I was a boy.I love to study our nation's history;especially WW 2 because the more I learn, the more I am totally amazed at what you all accomplished. And I'm proud of, and thankful to all of you,and to know that my Dad and uncles were part of it makes it all the more special as well. The more I can learn about the 12th and A-17, the more I can learn about my Dad in this chapter of his life.I'll post some questions as I think of them.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Denny
