My father was a member of the 92nd Recon of the 12 Div., he was wounded 20 March 1945 in Germany or Eastern France. Albert Grover, Glen Kendall, and Frank Kozla were all in the hospital with him at the same time. He passed away in 1974 and never really shared any of his stories. I would like to know anything about him that anyone could remember. Please let me know if you remember him, know someone who does, or knows any details of his tour. Thanks.

Dear Les, Evidently the men you mentioned are no longer alive, or are not members of the association.I checked the Roster. Please contact the unit
representative. He will place your inquiry in the Hellcat News.

Dear Les, I forgot to mention that your
father was in Squadron Headquarters Company.
Also, based on my knowledge of the the 56th
Armored Infantry Battalion, on March 20th
the Division was in Germany. The 56th was
in the vicinity of Winnweiler and Grunstadt.
These towns are not far from Speyer, where the 56th was on March 24th. The 92nd Recon
may or may not have been nearby, but I am
pretty sure that they were in Germany.
