posted 2/22/2007 12:33:12 AM I have begun a website memorial to those who suffered and those who liberated the Kaufering/Landsgerg Concentration Camps.
The Kaufering camps were 11 of the 200 subcamps of Dachau and were located in the general areas of Kaufering and Landsberg Germany. Several of them were liberated by the 12th Armored Division.
If anyone has information on these camps, or anyone's involvement with liberation, please contact me at the memorial website.

Video from the Kaufering camps can be found here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3545713826973774188&q=kaufering&hl=en

posted 2/25/2007 5:05:11 PM Dear Joe, Click on "Books and Written Experiences." Then click on "Atrocities of Lansburg Concentration Camp" by Robert J. Hartwig. (This should be spelled "Landsberg".) This is a very vivid account by a member of the 134 Ordnance Battalion. There are pictures and most probably documents in the 12th Armored Museum in Abilene.
