My name is Brooks Tasa and i am the grandson of Magnus Tasa. I regret to inform anyone who knew him that he has passed away.
Its been about 5 years now. I was just looking for information about my grandfather. if anyone has stories or pictures of him i would love to hear or see them. this is a great site that is here and i hope things like these continue because its through these sites that i find strength. I makes me so proud to be an american. i love each and every one of you who has served so that i may be free. I know thank you can hardly say it, but i believe if it is said enough it will go a long way.

Dear Brooks, I am a legacy member of the
12th Armored. Magnus Tasa is in the Roster of 17,000 Members (look on the left side and click on this button). He is listed under 17 C. I do not know how to find which
Battalion in the 56th he may have been in.
I suggest that you contact Bill Funke,
the Unit Rep of the 17th.
Also, contact Otis Shull. He is the unit Rep of the 56th Armored Infantry Battalion.
These two Representatives could put a notice
in the Hellcat News. I can copy a Roster
