My grandfather, Leland Ernest Busch, served with the 23rd. I was wondering if anyone here knew or had any stories about him.

My Dad served with the 23rd Company A. He didn't talk much about it. I regret now not asking more questions. I have written your grandfather's name down in case I get to talk to anyone else from 23rd Co.A

Hi, My grandfather, Warren Patterson, served in A Co., 23rd Battalion. He was killed in April 1945. I'd love to talk to you. My email address is krismgonzalez@yahoo.com.

Hey Kris and Ryan,
My father served in the 23rd. He is doing well and I'll pass on the names to him. He never really remembered the guy's he served with unfortunately but maybe if I give hime names they might ring a bell. Kris we're in NJ as well.

i just learned today that my great great grandfather was a Hellcat. I believe he started out in the 23rd Tank and then ended up in HQ & HQ. Ralph "Jimbo" Cantrell, if anyone knows him. He's still alive and doing quite well living in Florida. I wish i got to see him more often.
