My father is Henry Botuck, and he was a member of the 12th Armored Division, 66th Regiment in World War II. He and Mr. Di Pietro were in the band that was attached to this division, and Dad has been searching for any of Rocco's descendants with whom he can make contact. Is there anyone who might be able to help me? Thanks for your attention, whatever your answer! My E-Mail is firstname.lastname@example.org, and my name is Wendy Botuck.

Based on your question it may be easier to look for Rocco DiPietro descendants through other means, because of the 60 plus years since the war ended.
ROCCO DIPIETRO DOB 26 Aug 1923 Died 11 Nov 1989 in Huntington Beach, Orange, CA 92647, SSN 026-12-4426 issued from Massachusetts I am 99.8% sure this is the record of the man you call Rocco Di Pietro.
I did a quick search in Huntington Beach, CA there are at least a dozen Dipietro’s which could be relatives of Rocco. Do you have any additional info on Rocco, name of wife or children? Do you have an obituary?

Good news, ROCCO DIPIETRO has been located, contacted and given the phone number of his friend Henry Botuck. I am happy that my additional research proved I was 99.8% WRONG and by now these friends have shared many memories.
